We also offer 1-1 lessons at our music centre in Werneth.

Will my child miss class time?

If your child has a lesson at school it is highly likely they will be taken out of class to attend this lessons. Our teachers try to ensure that children do not miss the same lesson every week however, this isn't always possible.

Your child's music teacher will inform you when your child is ready to take a music exam. Music exams usually take place towards the end of each term and are held at our music centre in Werneth.

In the unlikely event that music just isn't for your child, you can terminate the contract early but this requires a minimum of one calendar months notice after the Autumn term of tuition has been completed. For example if you give notice to cancel on November 4th, lesson payment must continue until the end of the Autumn term.  If you give notice on January 5th, lesson payment must continue until February 5th.

You can give notice to cancel lessons by contacting the office at music.service@stockport.gov.uk
