Building on the experiences gained in the beginner string group and string orchestra, Stockport Youth Orchestra provides opportunities for more advanced players of all orchestral instruments, whether that be strings, woodwind, brass or percussion. The parents' committee and conductors work closely with Stockport Music Service and our orchestral players progress from the younger groups into the orchestra as well as playing in the wind bands, percussion group and brass bands.
