Wind Bands bring together brass, woodwind and percussion instruments to form an ensemble that can play pretty much any style of music.  Sometimes referred to as concert bands, military bands or wind orchestras, there is a huge library of music for these groups and they provide our young musicians with opportunities to perform with other players and expand their abilities. 

The Intermediate Wind Band provides an opportunity for all brass, woodwind and percussion players to develop their musicianship and instrumental skills in a fun and exciting environment. We play a wide range of music from established classics to modern film music and pieces composed by the players themselves.

We perform regularly at the music centre, the Royal Northern College of Music and other venues, both individually and with other music service groups to form larger ensembles.

Suitable for Grade 2 to Grade 4.

Rehearsals take place on Wednesdays during term time from 5.30 - 7.30 pm.
