Since 1976, we’ve offered weekly term-time rehearsals for choirs and instrumental groups, alongside regular concerts throughout the year. These ensembles are open to all children and young people in Stockport and the surrounding areas.
While we celebrate our rich heritage, we’re always evolving. We continue to expand our offer with new and exciting opportunities, ensuring that our programmes stay relevant, engaging, and inclusive for today’s young musicians.
If you’re interested in joining an ensemble, visit our Ensembles page to see what’s on offer. New members are always welcome — whether or not you already have lessons with us.
Looking for individual or group lessons? Head to our Lessons page to find out more. As well as school-based tuition, we welcome learners aged 5 to 80 at our music centre, where lessons take place in a friendly, supportive environment.
Our performers regularly take the stage at venues such as Stockport Town Hall, RNCM, and beyond — including Birmingham Symphony Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. In 2024, we toured to our twin town of Heilbronn, Germany, and we’re already looking forward to our 2026 tour to Normandy!
As a proud partner of the Greater Manchester Music Hub, we also collaborate regionally to provide top-level opportunities for our most advanced singers and players.
Whatever stage you’re at, we hope you’ll find something to inspire you — and we can’t wait to welcome you into our musical community.
