KS2 Summer ConcertS 2021

These were open to all pupils in KS2 and took the form of an end of year celebration, with the focus on PHSE and Well-Being. As our children had been through so much during the pandemic, we wanted to celebrate them, and to encourage them back onto a road filled with the joy of making music.

The event took the form of three virtual concerts on Friday 9th July, streamed live via Google Meet, and included performances by an SMS staff band, as well as solos and duets showcasing different instruments. In addition to listening to these performances, pupils also had the opportunity to participate and we encouraged them learn three songs before the day so that they could sing together. There was also an option to sign two of the songs in BSL.

It was a fabulous day with 119 classes and over 3700 children and staff involved!
